Huntsville, AL – From “The Grove” under the leadership of Founder Rev. O.D. Boone to “The Hollow” under the leadership of Rev. Loyce F. Lacy and now to “The Hill” under the leadership of Pastor O. Wendell Davis, Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church continues to be a shining light in the City of Huntsville.
On Sunday, August 21st, Pastor Cameron R. Thomas, from Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Cropwell, Alabama, was the Anniversary Speaker at 9:00am 315 Winchester Road and 12 Noon Service at 100 Orange Drive locations respectively. The month long celebration included the One Year (1) anniversary of the Gospel Impact Contemporary Service held at the Orange Drive location with Minister Marquis Thompson as the Worship Leader, a Community Service Day on August 13th at the Orange Drive location and the wearing of your favorite Union Chapel T-Shirt on August 28th.
This year’s theme, “Celebrating the Dawn of a New Season” Genesis 32:24-32, is fitting because “Through the uncertainty of COVID-19 and many other trials…the best is yet to come…” Pastor O. Wendell Davis. The Union Chapel Family is continuing to embrace this new season as they prepare for the milestone of celebrating Ninety (90) years in ministry. The Lord Keeps on Blessing.
